My friends dad is selling it. Think hes been trying to sell it for a few years.

Thinking about offering $500
Maybe lower due to the Quadrajet and intake being full of water when my friend and I pulled the Qjet off.

Body seemed to be pretty straight last time I saw it.

Opinions?

Hopefully you guys aren't too dead

Why does it look all muddy around the carburetor?

Is there anything there to work with?

The hood was missing the shaker so it got rained on.

What do you mean by is there anything to work with?

I mean, can things be fixed or will everything end up being replaced?

On a second look, the body looks like it's in decent condition, at least.

Hopefully the engine block is fine, heads may need to be replaced, intake definitely llol. Qjet is clean

A bunch of interior stuff and grill/underhood items are stuffed in the trunk

Seats need to be replaced as well as the floor.
Floorboards probably have some rust on them

If you have $500 to spend and the room to let it sit while you work on it, I would say go for it. I would.

I seriously doubt the engine is good. No way the car could sit getting water into the Qjet and not be into the engine too. Water will migrate down the intake runners into the cylinders and rust. I'd plan on a complete engine rebuild, but it's still worth $500.
By the way; it's not a Formula 400, it's a Trans Am. Shaker hoods, and fender vents weren't offered on Formula 400's.

It's a Formula.
Vin lists it as a formula.
